Are you having a summer wedding? Celebrate the season with some extraordinary color palettes. Every season comes with different tones, and associating your wedding with those tones is an excellent way to start developing your theme. Palettes include an array of colors that work well together, which can be used for everything from your decor to your bridesmaid dresses.

Here are a few of the most popular palettes to help you with your planning.

Classic Summer Palettes

There are a few palettes that have always been considered classics. These colors tend to have bright jewel tones, with a combination of modern, clear colors and pale pastels. A few of these popular color palettes are:

  • Coral and light blue.
  • Scarlet and navy.
  • Peony and burgundy.
  • Rose and rose gold.

These are color palettes that just scream summer and combined with different decor it'll be an easy way to start your plans.

Wedding Color Trends for 2019

Summer 2019 is the season of Living Coral, bright and vibrant shades of coral that can be matched with any other exciting jewel tones.

Reds, deep berries, and oranges work well together to create a warm, fiery summer atmosphere. Deep berry has been a popular theme from 2018 through 2019.

For something brighter, pink, yellow, and blue work together brilliantly, creating an interesting spectrum of different hues.

Finally, if you want something more sedate, you can use some neutral grays with an accent color selected from the above, such as berry, pink, or blue. Blues and greens offset things like pink and berry.

Of course, you can always mix and match different things if you want. Color palettes are just an easy way to find colors that go well together. If colors are too close together on the color spectrum they can easily look muddled or clash.

Supporting Color Palettes for Summer

What else works fantastic for the summer? Most spring palettes, with bright yellows and pale greens, can still be moved straight into the summer if you want something fresher and more vibrant. As you move towards fall, you can begin to mix rich neutral colors, such as deep mahogany. Consider bringing in a combination of classic summer colors and 2019 summer colors to create something that's uniquely you.
